(No worries, we’re still here! This comic is a day late due to a more important emergency with a friend.)

We’re back from our break, which also happened to be our vacation, and we made a road trip through France! To get an impression, I recommend watching our weekly recap video.
Starting in Luxembourg for a beautiful hike, we traveled on to Fontainebleau, which has surrounding forests that are a very popular bouldering area. We’ve never done any outdoor bouldering, so we joined some friends of ours who were also there and have experience. We had a wonderful time, definitely something I’d love to do again. After that, we had planned to go to Nantes to visit Les Machines de l’Ille, but it turned out they were closed due to a strike (a very French thing, haha). We changed our plans and drove north to the area of Le Mont-Saint-Michel. We also visited the abbey and the incredible island it’s on. It truly is a sight to behold (but also.. so many people!). We stayed there for a couple of days and also went on some nice hikes in the area. After that, we went to the East of Le Havre (even if you don’t know France, you board gamers will recognize that name!). There are beautiful white cliffs at the shore, so most of our days were spent going on various hikes. All in all, we’ve had a lovely holiday and seen some amazing and beautiful things.

And as with all our previous holidays, we thought we’d be playing waaaaay more board games, and we took a bag full of them and played… only two of what we brought with us. Turns out that after such intense and long days, board games aren’t really on your mind. But we did play SOME…! At Fontainebleau, we played Orapa Space (just realised that’s not in the video), Cartographers, and Moon Adventure with our friends. And during the following week, we played Kombo Klash! and Hive.

What this week will bring is still a little uncertain, but the thing we do know is that we’ll play Middara tonight. See you next week!
