If you think Ludwig was surprised to see how nice his castle looks, wait until you see all the cool stuff we’ve crammed into the Castles of Mad King Ludwig Collector’s Edition! The larder really is quite nice and after Rachel’s comment about the nice rug in The Hole, I’m feeling a little bad because that room is often used in “loo” of a proper restroom…

If you have a chance, check out what we’ve done to make the Collector’s Edition so luxuriously royal. It’s not just the artwork, which is both beautiful and functional, but there are few other things that I’m even more excited about! The first thing that you’ll notice upon opening the box is that everything is neatly and conveniently stored with GameTrayz™ storage organizers. There is a brand new recessed, double-sided scoreboard; upon it a gorgeous lake where your colorful swan player markers will keep score as they wind around plastic trays that hold room tiles, cards, and favors.

The first of two new expansions are Royal Decrees, a set of more than 30 new asymmetric, finely-balanced starting abilities drafted by players. The other expansion, Towers, has a new room size and shape, and a new completion reward that’s topped off by placing one of 8 custom painted plastic mini towers on the tile.

And if any game deserves an excessive, over-the-top optional ginormous sets of tiles, it’s this one, with an optional set of room tiles that are 4x the size of the original tiles, so you can enjoy the details (and hidden easter eggs) of the new artwork at a size fit for a king!
